Then let's look at the next episode - the 2000 elections. They were held rather strangely. When the results were counted, it turned out that a second round was necessary. The leader of the Communist Party of Russia Zyuganov and the cigarette butt from the FSB Putin went to the second round. However, Putin understood that this round would be beyond his strength if it were held HONESTLY. And the emissaries from the FSB worked with Zyuganov, who refused to participate in further elections, and then they worked with the Central Election Commission... And, voila! It declares Putin the winner with an unheard-of rating of 52.94%. Although Putin did not get even close to 30%. A quiet coup d'etat took place.

And when I fled Russia from Putin in 2000, I watched the tragedy in the Barents Sea from America. Several years had passed after the event, when I received an email from my classmate Nadya, who learned from mutual friends that I was in America and owned an anti-Putin publishing house. Our last communication was at school in 1975, that is, almost 30 years had passed. We called each other, and during the conversation she touched on the topic of the sinking of the submarine "Kursk". The conversation impressed me. It turned out that soon after finishing school, she married a naval officer. The family had sons who also became naval officers like their father. One of the sons ended up serving on that ill-fated submarine "Kursk". He died, as did all the crew members. Nadya became the heroine of many news reports, when she screamed at the leadership of the Russian fleet, who were not telling the truth. In one of the reports, where she was hysterical, the FSB officers injected her with some kind of drug in the confusion and she lost consciousness a moment later and fell into the arms of those standing nearby. Nadya shared with me all the links that told about these events. Among them was a link to the French documentary “Kursk. Submarine in Troubled Waters”.
